Google launched a dedicated Merchant Center agency hub in March 2026. It is the first material upgrade to multi-client Merchant Center workflow since 2019. The hub adds aggregated diagnostics, client comparison views, bulk operations, and a single-login workflow scoped per client. It does not replace Multi-Client Accounts (MCAs) but adds a management layer on top of them.
What the new agency hub is
The agency hub is a Google-built dashboard that aggregates data across the Merchant Center accounts an agency manages. Key components:
- Aggregated diagnostics: see all active issues across every client account in one view.
- Client comparison: rank clients by score, disapproval count, feed health, sync timeliness.
- Bulk feed operations: apply feed rules across multiple client accounts simultaneously.
- Policy notification center: centralized inbox for Google's policy emails across all clients.
- Single-login client switching: faster context switch between accounts than the legacy MCA dropdown.
How to get access
Access is invite-only as of mid-2026. Eligibility:
- Active MCA with at least 10 client sub-accounts
- Verified agency identity (business registration, agency website, public client list)
- Approval from a Google Merchant Center policy specialist
Request access via the Merchant Center "Get help" form. Approval typically takes 2-3 weeks. If you have a Google Ads representative, ask them to expedite.
What's new vs the old MCA
| Capability | Old MCA | Agency hub |
|---|---|---|
| Cross-client diagnostics view | None (per-client only) | Yes, aggregated |
| Bulk feed rules | Per-client manual | Cross-client batch |
| Client switching | Slow dropdown | Fast workspace switch |
| White-label reporting | No | No (still missing) |
| Programmatic API for aggregated views | Limited | Partial (UI-only for some views) |
| Compliance scoring | No | No (third-party tools fill this) |
Cross-account features that agencies actually want
From talking to agency customers, the features that drive the most daily value:
- Single notification feed. One inbox for every client's policy emails, with filtering by severity.
- Bulk diagnostics resolution. Apply a fix template (e.g., add missing brand to a feed rule) across multiple clients at once.
- Compliance score per client. Quick ranking of which clients need attention this week.
- Client onboarding workflow. A standardized handshake for adding a new client to your MCA without manual steps each time.
- Time-tracking integration. Per-client time logging tied to the actual work being done in Merchant Center.
The agency hub delivers items 1, 2, and 4. Items 3 and 5 still require third-party tools.
Gaps the hub still has
- White-label client reporting. No way to generate a branded PDF for each client with their compliance posture.
- Per-client compliance scoring. Aggregated views show counts and statuses but not a single tracked health number.
- External audit integration. The hub does not pull in third-party audit data; it shows only what Google's own systems see.
- Workflow automation. No way to trigger fix routines based on diagnostic events.
- Agency-level audit log. Cross-client visibility into who-did-what is limited.
For the gaps, most agencies pair the hub with a tool like FeedShield that handles cross-client compliance scoring, white-label reporting, and audit workflow on top.

The Merchant Center agency hub is the first meaningful upgrade to agency workflow in years. It solves cross-client visibility and bulk operations. It does not solve scoring, reporting, or workflow automation. Most agencies use it alongside a third-party tool; the combination is significantly more productive than either alone.
